This being my last day in Syndey I decided to take it easy a bit. this was the first day of rain that Sydney has had in awhile. I decided to keep the walks short and stick close to the hostel. Just a 10 minute walk from where I am staying is Darling Harbour. It is home to the Australian National Marine Museum, The Australian Animal Adventure, Madame Tussauds, and Sydney Sealife Aquarium. I decided that I would check them out. The pictures from Madame Tussauds are in an earlier post. The aquarium was packed with people, as could be expected on a rainy day. It was all good fun with lots of interesting sites. While at the aquarium, I kept thinking about my upcoming dive trip on the Great Barrier Reef. It will be nice to see those fish, sharks and other animals in their natural habitat.
I capped the day off with another dinner of fish and chips at a pub called 3 Wise Monkeys. It was a good spot, great atmosphere and good music playing in the background.
Off to Cairns tomorrow morning to start leg 2 of my adventure.
