It has been awhile since I’ve posted about the trip and the school build. It has been a great few days filled with all sorts of emotions.
When we arrived at the school on Friday it was just beginning with just a few holes for the foundation being dug. When we left yesterday the block walls were progressing and within a few weeks the classroom will be finished. We have also been very welcomed by the community and were provided with small gifts when we departed. Not only were we working on building the school but we also had a chance to play with the students and talk to them about the importance of education and staying in school.
While in Matagalpa we also had a chance to visit a coffee production facility called a beneficiary.
For the next few days we are visiting others schools and being Nicaraguan tourists exploring this wonderful country.
