Canada House

The next stop was at Bernières-sur-Mer and Canada House. Canada House was a private residence which was liberated on June 6 1944 by the Queen's own Rifles from Toronto. Follow the link to learn more about Canada House and to see what the house looked like on D Day check out this link.

Such a Moving Day

Today I took a tour to the Canadian Sector of the D-Day invasion. We visited some pretty memorable sites. Here is a description of the tour I took with Normandy Sightseeing Tours. These photos are from the first stop at the village of Saint Aubin. The gun and bunker are part of the Atlantic Wall.
